Now feel how your feet connect with the ground or floor (if you are lying down, bend your knees so your feet are grounded). Be aware of the connection between your feet and the earth below, even if your feet are not actually touching the ground. Feel this connection through your bones and feet go all the way to what you perceive to be the very center of the earth itself. Spend as long as you need to develop this connection to earth below. Enjoy this feeling as you continue to breath, relax and simply be.
Now repeat the first step of deep inhalations followed by deep exhalations drawing in healing forces from all of creation on the inhalation and directing these energies through your entire body on the exhalation. Again, spend as long as you need to as you begin to feel your whole body tingle and come to life.
Focus now back on your connection with your bones and the earth as you become aware of the magnetic resonance between your bones and the earth. To help you feel this, picture the earth as a gigantic magnet attracting your bones to it as if your skeleton is magnetically charged. Spend a few moments feeling both this connection between yourself and the universe (or heaven above) and yourself and the planet (or earth below) as you continue to breath, relax and be.
Finally picture an energetic triangle forming, that has heaven above a one focal point and earth below as another focal point and yourself as the third focal point. Give yourself the time to allow a nice strong and full connection to flow between all three points of this energetic triangle that you have just been working with. Use your breath to amplify this connection until it is as strong as possible as you continue to breath, relax and be·connected to heaven and earth.
When you feel complete with this, give yourself the space to slowly come back to present time and space (the realm of your daily activities). Notice how many of these feelings of peace, calm yet aliveness, and general wellbeing you are able to carry forth with you. Know that you can return to this connection or triangle between yourself and heaven and earth anytime you feel a need to slow down, relax and connect with your inner self. And each time you do this, it should be much quicker and faster for you to reestablish this connection.
For some, such exercises may be equally or even more helpful than the more common type of physical exercise to which we are accustomed. Such exercises may be used to explore inner dimensions of ourselves for health and healing that can carry forth into our everyday life. And like other types of exercise, the more we practice, the more carry over or lasting effect there will be benefiting other aspects of our lives, including our overall health and wellbeing.
