Why a Balloon Up the Nose?

Continued from the previous page

In order to heal ourselves, we need to access our own healing potential or vital life-force, which originates from our spiritual source, and thus become more whole. This is regardless of how one chooses to define one's spiritual "source" (or "Source"). I now practice as part of my healing ministry as a Doctor of Divinity through my parent church (The Church of Compassionate Service). I have come to fully embrace this philosophy of healing and have "switched hats" from practicing in the western medical model to now "wearing the ministerial cloth" of spiritual healing. So I see my role as facilitating people's own unique healing process by both hands-on healing techniques and through educating people how to specifically open themselves to their own healing spirit or vital life-force to become more whole. And even in doing a hands-on technique, I am simply helping one to access their own healing potential like a very specific "jump-start" to help an engine that is having difficulty turning over. This is my "healing ministry" that I travel around the world doing.

So this brings us back to the balloon up the nose technique. I was taught this as a physical medicine procedure to help specific conditions. However, I only chose to spend the time and money to train to do this procedure because I saw the profound potential in what this technique can do spiritually. In my 27 years in the healing arts, I still do not know any other technique that can as profoundly stimulate the increased presence of one's spirit (as measured by a dramatic increase in spiritual level chakras, the focal points of one's vital life-force). I am also not aware of any of the other practitioners of this technique doing it for this reason. I have modified the whole procedure from the way I was taught it, as a physical medicine technique, to a spiritual opening technique. Thus I call it ESR - Inner Opening Technique™, with ESR standing for Endonasal (up-the-nose) Sphenoid (remember that bone in the head) Release (releasing the bodies--physical, emotional, mental and spiritual--through freeing this key cranial bone from its restrictions).

There are a few key differences between ESR - Inner Opening Technique™ and the physical medicine procedure that I was taught. Firstly I am not doing it as a medical or therapeutic session for a given condition, even though some people may have specific conditions that they are hoping it will help. I am doing this as a way to open people up to more of their spirit, soul energy or vital life-force. In so doing, I let people know that it may help many conditions but my intention is simply to open them to more of themselves in order to facilitate them becoming more whole. This ties into the shamanic aspect of this procedure.
