David Malin, DD PT

David Malin, DD PT began his schooling in Alternative Medicine with training in Polarity Therapy which he completed in 1977, an eclectic and wholistic approach to therapy that draws strongly from Osteopathy and Ayurvedic Medicine. He became certified in Massage Therapy in 1979 and then in Gestalt Therapy, a wholistic and dynamic mind/body approach to psychotherapy, in 1981. During this time he spent several years apprenticing with some very experienced practitioners, including a spiritual healer who first taught him Energy Clearing techniques, and a senior osteopath before he retired. David completed a degree in biology, physics and psychology in 1982. Then in 1984 he completed a second degree in Physical Therapy, which is when he began interfacing his alternative and wholistic practice with the western medical model.

Since then he continued to pursue extensive post-graduate training in Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Shamanic Healing, Homeopathy, Esoteric Healing, Neurocranial Restructuring and Chinese Healing methods, which includes repeated trips to each France, Canada, and China to study with renown practitioners. His Body Math™ system evolved primarily from Barral’s Visceral Manipulation and Friesen’s clairvoyant work with the chakras and aura as well as from Malin’s many years of experience in the healing arts. He developed ESR-Inner Opening Technique™ by expanding his training in Neurocranial Restructuring and Craniosacral Therapy with Shamanic Healing practices as well as his Body Math™ system of healing.

David’s teaching began in the late 1970’s with workshops in Polarity Therapy and since includes two years on the faculty of the Boulder School of Massage Therapy and being a Certified Teaching Assistant for many years for the Upledger Institute in both Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation, as well as being a Certified Visceral Manipulation Instructor. In 1995 he founded Wholistic Seminars, through which he has taught Body Math™ both nationally and internationally. His students have included Massage Therapists, Nurses, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Dentists, Medical Doctors and other Healing Arts Practitioners. He in recent years has opened up his Body Math™ seminars to non-practitioners as well.
