ESR - Inner Opening Technique™

Endonasal Sphenoid Release

ESR - Inner Opening Technique™ is a very powerful procedure that has evolved from a technique originally developed in the 1930s. The original "Bilateral Nasal Specific Technique" as it was called has been much refined since the 1980s to its present state called "NeuroCranial Restructuring", from which ESR - Inner Opening Technique" has evolved as a much more multidimensional form of this over 60 year old technique (which some believe actually dates back to ancient Egypt). David Malin, DD, PT, who is one of a hundred or so practitioners in the world who has been certified in Neurocranial Restructuring, developed ESR - Inner Opening Technique™ through the integration of NeuroCranial Restructuring with both his Body Math™ system of healing and shamanic healing practices. He continues to refine this technique, drawing on his many years experience and background in state-of-the-art alternative medicine since 1977.

ESR stands for "Endonasal Sphenoid Release". "Endonasal" is a medical term meaning "within the nose". The "Sphenoid"; is the central bone of the cranium or skull named for its wedge-like shape made of converging pyramidal/triangular bone formations that connects to virtually all the other bones of the skull (its shape is much like that of a butterfly). The sphenoid bone can most directly be accessed through any of the six nasal passages or airways going to the very upper-most part of the back of the throat. This powerful technique can "Release" core structural restrictions and restriction patterns throughout the body. Such restrictions could involve the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the endocrine system as well as all aspects of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Since this technique can well access the core of our inner being, thus helping us to multidimensionally open to our full human potential, it is truly an "Inner Opening Technique".

More specifically, the potential benefits of this technique may include improved brain function as it has helped a wide range of conditions such as seizures, Parkinson's Disease, stuttering, Down's Syndrome, autism, head injuries, stunted growth, learning disabilities, psychiatric conditions, senility and Alzheimer's, dizziness and light-headedness as well as visual, hearing and balance problems. It has helped some types of breathing problems such as sleep apnea, snoring, deviated septum, and sinus problems. Headaches, back pain, neck pain, jaw pain and many types of joint pain related to structural asymmetry have responded well to this technique with significant postural improvement seen including with such conditions as scoliosis (curvature of the spine), kyphosis (hunched back), and lordosis (sway back). There has been improvement seen in digestive problems as well with this technique. Cosmetic changes in the face have been seen such as less prominent angles and increase softness around the eyes with some fading of wrinkles as the facial bones reposition into greater symmetry.
